I was pleased as punch to see my photos in print in the October issue of Santé, a premier magazine for restaurant managers and chefs. I just received a quality PDF of it, or else you would have seen it much sooner. The recipe these photos were shot for was Vegetables and Gravy in Pastry Boxes. Link to the full magazine article is here. Thanks to the editors of Santé for featuring my work!
…or maybe it’s just the sunburn I got in Portugal! Yes, that’s right, I’M BACK! But am unfortunately short on time today as I come back into orbit from what was a truly amazing trip to Portugal. I will definitely be filling you in on all the details and showing off a bunch of atmospheric photos in some upcoming posts.
But right now, I wanted to toot my horn just a teeny bit and tell you about being awarded two wonderful (and prestigious among food bloggers) food photography honors in recent days! What a lovely homecoming surprise!
Thank you! Obrigada! Merci!
Also lovely to come home to were all the comments everyone left while I was gone – I promise to make my way through responding to them all as the week progresses. I might also blush a bit to admit that I missed this little dialogue thing we’ve got going here… Let the good times roll!
Gee golly, I’m flattered! Here are some kind remarks made about the blog:
~ The Arizona Republic’s style reporter, Jamiee Rose, gushed about the pumpkin pop-ups, calling them “the gooiest, most glorious pumpkin dessert I’ve seen this season.”
~ Blogher’s Editor, Allana Kellogg, gave the pumpkin roll recipe some love in October ’07.
~ The Leftover Queen (a.k.a., Jenn), who manages the ever-popular Foodie Blogroll, dubbed SFTF as one of her Top 5 Green or Sustainable Eating Blogs, noting, “it is all about living in an urban area, but still committing to eating locally…it is a wonderful project and so inspiring!”
