Mangochild - Freezing them directly in their packaging/bag would work if mine came in bags...but I buy them from local growers at the farmers market so they come in pint containers and still need to be washed and sorted so freezing on sheets works better for that process. :) I love the idea of having some in oatmeal! I've recently started myself on cooking oats in the morning instead of relying on those little instant packets but was wishing there was more "umph" to this homemade version. Cranberries will no doubt do the trick! Thanks for the great hint. :)

Beautiful! The pop of color from cranberries is just what is needed in the middle of winter. I always stock up on them and freeze for that reason.... but I just freeze in the bags they come in, without putting them on the sheet pan to freeze. Never found that they clump, etc....
Another fav way to use them for me is in oatmeal - the "pop" of the frozen berries as the oatmeal cooks and then the "starburst" color in the middle... mmmm
