I made these today– not the filling yet, but the cookie part– and they are soooo good. YUM. Thank you for yet another really wonderful recipe.

Last time I tried something from your recipes, it was the chocolate beet cake. Which was absolutely the most wonderful cake I have ever made.

But the cake/cookie part ofthese pumpkin whoopies comes really close, maybe just belonging in a different category.

OK, I totally love my whoopie pies frozen. The only way to go, if you ask me.

The pumpkin idea is brilliant. and those photos really sell the goods!

I know what you mean about being dependent on the internet. I’m at school in the library right now. I’ve never had a whoopie pie, but I’m a big fan of the cakey pumpkin cookies and I think having two of them sandwiched with frosting might be out of this world!

De – Trader Joe’s has pumpkin whoopie pies…actually called “whoopie pies”!?!? I wish you could see me with my mouth hanging wide open right now. Really, these are such a regional specialty, I’m rather shocked that TJs is carrying them and didn’t think to re-brand them as something else. Gonna have to see if I can ferret out a package, just to try and compare to the real deal. Thanks for the heads up!

Oh, these look amazing! I might have to make small versions for a cookie swap. I actually picked up a package of Pumpkin Whoopie Pies (yes, they were actually called that) at Trader Joe’s over the weekend on the way to a tailgate that I didn’t have a chance to prepare something for. They were good, but the icing part was a little uninspired (what do you really expect from packaged food though). I definitely want to try the real thing now.
