No reason to overload these puppies with fat since they’re so flavorful “al natural”. I definitely think another batch is called for…two months without apple dumplings during prime apple season is just scandelous!! :)

I didn’t pull out my recipe to compare, but did you just eliminate the butter from the syrup? I know my syrup recipe has butter in it. Also, the idea of cranberries in the center…may be a reason to make a batch. I did make several batches in September, 1 for us and 3 for a bake sale, but that was September, it’s close to November already! ;)

Banana pudding’s a good choice. Okra and I aren’t wild about each other but perhaps with time, that will change. Thanks for sharing your food memories! :)
